Dr Souresh Charkandeh

As a well-known and passionate educator, researcher and innovator in dental sleep medicine, Dr. Charkhandeh has lectured at numerous national sleep meetings across the world, including in Canada, USA, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Puerto Rico , Brazil and has trained over a thousand dentists in this field over the last decade. He is the recipient of the “2012 & 2015 Clinical Research Award” and “2015 Clinical Excellence Award” from the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. 

Dr. Charkhandeh is a general dentist who received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) Degree and Bachelor of Medical Sciences from the University of Alberta, Canada. He then furthered his education and training by completing a research fellowship in the area of “Sleep and Dental Sleep Medicine” at the University of Antwerp Hospital (UZA), in Antwerp, Belgium, where he is currently working on his PhD thesis in sleep medicine.

He is the founder and director of Alberta Dental Sleep Medicine Study Club, the Clinical Director at The Snore Centre in Canada and has served on multiple different advisory boards related to sleep medicine. Dr. Charkhandeh serves as the Global Scientific Committee Chair for ProSomnus® Sleep Technologies.
